Why Coaching?
Life coaching focuses on helping with stress reduction, self care, work/life balance, shifting mindsets, breaking bad habits, and overcoming limiting belief systems. Coaching is present, solution focused, and goal orientated. Coaching can also offer a safe place to be heard and listened to. Harnessing in on the unique strengths of each individual in another important aspect of coaching. Coaching is NOT psychotherapy as it does not focus on significant mental health issues (i.e. trauma, suicidality, addictions) and would require a referral to a licensed professional.
Mel's Expertise & Experience
While anyone can claim to be a coach, Melanie's background and expertise proves added value for clients. Melanie has a Master of Psychology degree with over 25 years’ experience working in the mental health field, a stint in the corporate world, as well as extensive training in the coaching field. Although loving the field of psychotherapy and running her own private practice for many years, it was important to shift focus for health & wellness as well as offer increased flexibility for coachee and coach. Virtual and phone sessions are available no matter where you are in the world via Zoom.

Melanie is a big believer in affordability, coaching shouldn't cost thousands of dollars.
Individual session of 45-minutes is $40+hst (easily book online for in-person or virtual session)
Self Care Supportive Group, 90 minutes coming soon

Enjoying the beauty of the Muskoka region, Mel's home office offers a cozy, laid back atmosphere. A safe place to feel heard and listened to. Sometimes too laid back, as the office assistants often sleep on the job...
Coaching focuses on the present, on current struggles/setbacks. We focus on solutions and not problems. Setting goals with action steps and reflection. What worked and what didn't? Mel checks in with you, to keep you accountable to your goals.

Cancellation Policy
To cancel or reschedule an appointment, you are expected to notify your coach at least 24 hours in advance of your appointment. If you do not provide at least 24 hours’ notice in advance, you are responsible for payment for the missed session.
